BEIRUT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said on Friday that two people were killed in separate airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center said an Israeli occupation strike hit a truck in the town of Mansouri, in the Tyre district, killing one civilian.
It added that another Israeli occupation strike late Thursday targeted a car in the town of Mayfadoun, in the Nabatieh district, resulting in the death of a civilian.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces have continued to target towns, vehicles and motorcycles in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire that took effect on November 27, 2024, the statement said. (end) ayb.hs
