BRUSSELS, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said he had a telephone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the developments in Ukraine's energy sector in light of Russian attacks that caused "terrible human suffering." The conversation also addressed ongoing efforts aimed at bringing an end to the war, Rutte said in a post on X on Thursday, affirming the Alliance's commitment to ensuring that Ukraine continues to receive the crucial support it needs to defend itself at the present time.
The NATO Secretary General stressed that this support ultimately aims to enable Ukraine to secure a lasting and safe peace. (end) arn.gb
