RIYADH, Jan 15 (KUNA) - Kuwait's Minister of Education, Jalal Al-Tabtabaei stressed on Thursday importance of strengthening joint Gulf educational cooperation and consolidating regional and international partnerships to keep pace with rapid transformations in education sector.
In a statement, the Ministry of Education said the remarks were made during Al-Tabtabaei's participation in a high-level dialogue session held on the sidelines of a celebration marking 50 years since the establishment of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
Al-Tabtabaei said the meeting comes at a significant time, marking half a century since the establishment of the bureau, which has played a key role in unifying educational visions and promoting education as a cornerstone for human development and future-building in GCC countries.
He noted that the session aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035, which places investment in human capital at the heart of sustainable development, and highlighted the Ministry's Education development plan (2025-27) as a comprehensive roadmap moving from planning to implementation.
The minister outlined key features of the plan, including curriculum development from kindergarten through Grade (9), digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence in learning resources, infrastructure development, and strengthened cooperation with regional and international organizations, particularly the OECD.
Al-Tabtabaei stressed that the current phase requires greater coordination among GCC education ministers, integrated education policies, and effective joint action to ensure sustainable development and build future-ready learners rooted in Gulf identity and values. (end) as.dss
