KHARTOUM, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Patients Helping Fund Society has launched a surgical camp in Sudan's Khartoum and Kassala states, aiming to perform around 250 specialized operations.
Sudan's Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) praised the initiative, highlighting the Fund's vital role in supporting life-saving health services in cooperation with the Sudanese Doctors Association in Qatar (SUDAQ).
Executive Director of the Patients Helping Fund Society Abdulmajid Fadlallah reaffirmed the Fund's commitment to developing healthcare services through partnerships, commending Sudanese doctors abroad for their contributions.
Hospital officials described the camp as a successful model of Arab health cooperation. At Omdurman Teaching Hospital, the initiative includes 200 procedures over one week, while Kassala Teaching Hospital emphasized its role in capacity building and service localization. (end)
