RAMALLAH, Jan 1 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Health Ministry announced Thursday that Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian man, and injured another in the city of Nablus, West Bank.
In a statement, the ministry said it was informed by the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority of the killing of 26-year-old Khattab Daraghmeh, adding that Israeli occupation forces withheld his body.
Local sources said Daraghmeh succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by Israeli occupation forces, while another Palestinian was shot four times while attempting to provide first aid and was transferred to a hospital in Salfit, where his condition was described as stable.
In a related development, the Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide arrest campaign across the West Bank early Thursday, detaining 48 Palestinians, including former prisoners.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continued for a second consecutive day on Thursday to demolish 25 buildings inside Nur Shams refugee camp in the city of Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank. (end)
