CAIRO, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- Egypt on Tuesday called for de-escalation, calm and dialogue in Syria, saying it is following with extreme concern clashes and rapid field developments in north Syria, especially Aleppo.
In a press statement, the ministry said that these developments include violence and intimidation acts against civilians, posing serious impacts on Syria's security and stability.
It underlined that it is essential to de-escalate tensions, stop violence, ensure tranquility, protect civilians and safeguard this Arab country's security and territorial integrity.
The ministry stressed that the sustainable solution to the Syrian crisis is contingent upon an inclusive political process based on dialogue and respect for all Syrian segments' interests as part of a national state and its institutions. (end) aff.mt
