KUWAIT, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- Chief of the Kuwait National Cyber Security Center Abeer Al-Awadhi affirmed on Tuesday that the first national cybersecurity drill was conducted to enhance real-life scenarios of advanced attacks to enhance analysis and response skills of digital governmental bodies.
In her opening speech during the simulation organized by the National Center, Al-Awadhi said that the exercise comes in accordance with the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah to raise the readiness of national human capabilities and enhance the efficiency of government bodies.
She noted that cybersecurity is no longer the responsibility of a single entity, but rather a shared national responsibility that requires integrated efforts among all institutions to protect the data and services provided by the state across its various sectors.
She pointed out that the one-day exercise represents an important step towards strengthening the cybersecurity culture in government agencies.
She emphasized the National Cybersecurity Center's ongoing commitment to supporting all government bodies and providing them with the frameworks, controls, and tools that enable them to build a secure and robust digital work environment. (end) ajr.bb
