KUWAIT, Dec 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) announced on Thursday strengthening of its codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines to enhance its global travel network and offer passengers a wider range of travel options.
This came in a press release saying that the cooperation agreement included placing Kuwait Airways' code on SriLankan Airlines flights operating to a number of key destinations in Asia, namely Male and Gan in the Maldives, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
It pointed out that this step gives Kuwait Airways' passengers access to these tourist and commercial destinations within the company's network, indicating that SriLankan Airlines will include its code on a number of destinations operated by Kuwait Airways, and it includes London in England, Rome in Italy, Tbilisi in Georgia and Baku in Azerbaijan which provides SriLankan Airlines' customers access to Europe through Kuwait.
The statement quoted KAC Chairperson Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan as saying that SriLankan Airlines is an important strategic partner for Kuwait Airways, noting that this cooperation reflects the national carrier's commitment to providing a diverse network of destinations for its customers and offering a smoother and more integrated travel experience.
It added that Al-Faqaan mentioned that this agreement comes as part of a series of alliances that Kuwait Airways seeks to strengthen in order to achieve it future expansion plan and provide extra services for the customers. (end)
