BEIRUT, Dec 18 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation warplanes launched on Tuesday a series of airstrikes on several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon.
Lebanon's National News Agency reported that the strikes in the south targeted the riverbed at the southern outskirts of Zawtar town and the area between the towns of Deir Seryan and Al-Qusayr.
Warplanes also carried out airstrikes on the Jezzine area, in the vicinity of the town of Al-Qatrani and the surroundings of the town of Kfar Houneh, as well as on the heights of Jabal Al-Rihane.
In northeastern Lebanon, warplanes conducted airstrikes on the Zeghrine area in the barren outskirts of the Hermel district and on the barren lands of the town of Boudai, west of the Baalbek area.
The Israeli occupation forces have recently escalated the pace of their attacks and targeting of Lebanese towns, despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27, 2024. (end) ayb.dss
