DOHA, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) Chairman Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim affirmed on Monday the State of Kuwait's endeavors to overhaul its legislations, measures and policies for abiding by the UN conventions against corruption.
Speaking at the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties (COSP11) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, Al-Ibrahim affirmed that Kuwait has enacted new legislations to attain absolute implementation of the UN convention against corruption, namely Law 69/2025 stipulating greater jurisdictions and independence for the authority.
Moreover, Law 79/2025 had been issued regarding international judicial cooperation on criminal cases, he added, revealing that work was underwar to map out the second phase of the national strategy to boost integrity and combat corruption according to criteria and recommendations of FATF, the Financial Action Task Force.
