ABU DHABI, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national powerboat team finished fourth in the XCAT Powerboat World Championship 2025 in Dubai following a lot of fierce competition between world racers.
Speaking to KUNA, Chairman of the Powerboats Committee at the Sea Sports Club Ali Al-Shammali said on Sunday that Kuwait's fourth position in the event is "satisfactory", considering the Kuwaiti boat's 300-horsepower engine compared to other teams' higher engines.
He affirmed that the Kuwaiti team's members had performed in a professional manner during the Dubai-hosted championship, boasting that Abdulatif Al-Omani, Khaled Karam, Bader Al-Dosari, Adel Al-Mesfer and Mohammad Barakat had done a great job.
Al-Shamali underscored the significance of partaking in such world championships in order to advance the level of the Kuwaiti powerboat team and upgrade its readiness for the forthcoming sports events. (end)
