BEIJING, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- China Coast Guard drove away Philippine boats and aircraft that breached Chinese territorial waters and airspace around two islands in the China Sea, spokesperson of the Coast Guard said on Friday.
Cited by the Chinese News Agency, Xinhua, Liu Dejun said in a statement that groups of Philippine sea vessels ignored verbal and recurring warnings by the Chinese Coast Guard and intentionally ventured into the waters around Xianbin reefs at the pretext of fishing.
The Chinese naval forces took procedures and drove away the Philippine vessels according "the laws and regulations" after venturing into the waters around the island.
Meanwhile, the Chinese television station, CCTV, citing the military, said small Philippine planes breached the Chinese airspace over Huangyan Dao Island. In retaliation, the Chinese forces warned the intruding aircraft, forced them to change course and fly away.
