KUWAIT, Dec 4 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior affirmed its commitment to implementing progressive development plans that strengthen national security, enhance sector readiness, and support sustained stability across the community in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.
Colonel Fahad Al-Essa, director of traffic awareness at the traffic and operations sector, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the ministry continues executing comprehensive strategies designed to reinforce security and stability by advancing sector capabilities and adopting a preventive, proactive operational framework.
He explained that the ministry prioritizes upgrading infrastructure, expanding smart services, and strengthening community partnerships while building a modern and coherent security system that creates an attractive, safe, and sustainable environment for citizens, residents, and investors.
Al-Essa noted that the ministry encompasses vital sectors including Public Security, Traffic, Residency Affairs, Border and Coastal Security, Criminal Security, Operations, Civil Defense, Firefighting, Maritime Rescue, and Security Information Systems, alongside national rehabilitation and correctional institutions.
He stressed that coordination among these sectors operates through joint operation rooms and advanced technological platforms enabling real-time information exchange, faster response times, and enhanced field effectiveness across all operational units in the ministry.
Regarding crime prevention, Al-Essa said the ministry intensifies efforts against organized and cybercrime through specialized units, cooperation with Interpol, regional and international agencies, and continuous development of capabilities and regulatory frameworks aligned with rapid digital developments.
He added that the ministry employs artificial intelligence, data analysis, and crime-pattern monitoring to reinforce preventive action, protect society, and support early-intervention mechanisms that reduce risks and strengthen national safety.
Al-Essa confirmed that the ministry implements integrated emergency-response plans for heavy rainfall, fires, and natural disasters through civil defense coordination, modern surveillance technologies, drone operations, temporary shelters, and community awareness initiatives promoting readiness among citizens and residents.
