WASHINGTON, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that the second phase of the Gaza agreement will begin "very soon," without specifying a date.
"We have peace in the Middle East. People don't realize it. We have tremendous support. 59 countries. There's tremendous support," President Trump told reporters at the White House.
"But phase two is moving along. Yeah, it's going to happen pretty soon," he added.
The agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip was reached on October 10, following two years of continuous massacres and genocide by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Israel has killed more than 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 171,000 others in attacks in Gaza since October 2023. (end) asj.ibi
