TUNIS, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) Commander Dagvin Anderson met on Monday with Libyan Prime Minister and Defense Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah to discuss strengthening joint military training programs.
According to a statement from the Libyan Prime Minister's Office, the talks focused on the importance of training, equipment, and developing the Libyan army's capabilities.
Dbeibah underscored supporting the military institution through effective partnerships and specialized training to boost security, stability, and counter regional threats, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Anderson reiterated AFRICOM's commitment to providing support to Libya and commended progress in joint training and cooperation. (end) sbm.fs.lr
