KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), revealed on Saturday a new mural in Sharq area in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Kuwait as part of the cultural exchange program and the National Mural Arts Project (The Third Art).
The mural was created jointly by Kuwaiti artist Yousef Saleh and Canadian artist Brian Byung, which creates opportunities for Kuwaiti and international artists and further strengthens cultural exchange, Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jassar said to KUNA.
Al-Jassar explained that the mural reflects the cultures of the two friendly countries through a shared theme, maritime heritage.
He noted that the Cabinet had approved the project in October 2023 under the management of engineer Abdullah Yaseen, with the aim of beautifying the country.
The project was launched in February 2024 as part of the Al-Qurain Cultural Festival, with the participation of a group of Kuwaiti artists who painted electrical transformers in the Messila area in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity, in addition to similar activities carried out in partnership with international artists.
