MANAMA, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Motor Sports Club's racers achieved five advanced places in the first round of Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship for the 2025-2026 season.
The club's team manager, Sheikh Sabah Dawood Al-Sabah, told KUNA on Saturday that the team excelled in various categories during the round, which took place at Bahrain International Circuit on Friday evening.
Sheikh Sabah added that Abdulrahman Bourbaa secured first place in the (INDEX 4.5) category, Abdulrahman Bualwa in the (INDEX 4.8) category, Jassem Zaman in the (Outlaw 6) category, Nasser Bourbaa in the 8.5 Bike category, while Shahab Bourba'a finished third in the 8.5 Bike category.
He praised the high level of performance displayed by the players, noting that the remaining competitors also advanced to the semi-finals.
Sheikh Sabah commended the Kuwaiti racers for their strong competitive spirit, technical discipline, and excellent preparation, which he said were key factors behind their commendable performance.
The first and opening round of the championship kicked off on Friday evening, with the participation of Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The second round is scheduled for December 23-26, followed by the third round from January 6-9, 2026.
The fourth round will take place between January 13 and 16, and the championship will conclude from March 3-6. (end) kna.ao
