KUWAIT, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereedah Al-Mousherji chaired a meeting Wednesday of the committee tasked with verifying academic certificates of citizens and residents working in public and private sectors, attended by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jalal.
A statement by the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs' office said Al-Mousherji directed the committee and its subcommittees at the Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Higher Education, and Public Authority of Manpower to complete their assigned duties.
The statement added that Al-Mousherji praised the committee's efforts and its follow-up with entities that have not finalized employee data, stressing the importance of cooperation to fulfill the committee's mandate and achieve its objectives.
It explained that the committee has begun verifying certificates of state employees in leadership and supervisory positions, with reviews of other employees underway, noting that penalties will be imposed on violators.
The Cabinet had previously assigned the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs to form a committee chaired by the Fatwa and Legislation Department, with several government entities, to verify the authenticity of academic certificates of employees in public and private sectors.
