RIYADH, Nov 26, 2025 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Sabah stated Wednesday that Kuwait presented its pioneering experience in carbon management and digital energy data transformation during the International Energy Forum's (IEF) high-level advisory committee meeting in Riyadh.
He told KUNA after the meeting that Kuwait's selection to present a technical paper on carbon management and gas developments reflects its active role and standing in global energy market dialogues amid rapid transformations.
He said the presentation underscores Kuwait's commitment to advancing emissions-management practices and promoting innovation in energy, gas, and hydrogen, noting that the session reviewed ways to strengthen coordination among member states to address future challenges.
He added that Kuwait's participation highlights its effective role in international discussions on global energy markets, stressing that the technical paper showcased national efforts to reduce emissions and enhance operational efficiency in the oil sector.
The meeting discussed means of promoting innovation and advanced technologies supporting the transition to clean energy, examining pathways to develop global data systems and enhance cooperation to balance energy security, sustainability, and development. (end) kns.aai
