ADEN, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Gunmen attacked the convoy of Nabil Shamsan, the governor of Taizz, southwestern Yemen, on Monday, killing five soldiers and wounding two others.
Two assailants were killed in the attack, which took place on the road between Taizz city and Aden this midday, according to a statement from the local authority.
Denouncing the criminal attack, the statement said it serves only the Houthi militias that seek to destabilize the country and destroy the state institutions, the statement added. (end) ana.gb
