KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Acting Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem met with Safaa El-Tayeb El-Kogali, World Bank Division Director for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MENAAP), to discuss strengthening ties.
Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem, also Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and El-Kogali, a Sudanese national, explored ways of sustaining strategic partnership and increasing the Bank's support for Kuwait's economic reforms.
The meeting took place after the new director of World Bank office in Kuwait took office, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance. Attendees included Acting Resident Representative of the World Bank's local office in Kuwait Huda Youssef, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Saad Al-Alati, and Director of the International Economic Cooperation Department Saad Al-Rashidi.
