KUWAIT, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Acting Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Al-Adwani held talks on Monday with Deputy Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in security and police fields.
The ministry said in a press statement that the meeting addressed coordination in combating cross-border crime, exchanging security expertise and information, and ensuring the safety of citizens of both countries.
The two sides also reviewed draft cooperation agreements and affirmed their keenness to strengthen institutional partnership to support joint efforts in crime prevention and community protection.
The Vietnamese delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized its interest in expanding future avenues of joint security cooperation.
The talks were held as part of the official visit to Kuwait by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his accompanying delegation. (end) hmd.seo
