KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Kuwait's Permanent Representative to UNESCO Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf discussed Sunday cooperation between the Ministry of Information and international cultural institutions.
During the meeting, the minister said Kuwait is proud of its cultural and intellectual role in international forums, boasting that Kuwait having an efficient representative like Al-Mudhaf reflects its commitment to promoting its presence in UNESCO and supporting its cultural, educational and scientific message, the Ministry of Information said in a press release.
He added that the ministry and National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) are seeking to develop their cultural and media programs in line with the State's orientations towards promoting the national identity and beefing up Kuwait's soft diplomacy.
He underlined the significance of cooperation with UNESCO in backing cultural initiatives and highlighting Kuwait's cultural role and spurring youth participation in creative and intellectual fields. (end) shd.mt
