TUNIS, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- President of the International Criminal Police Organization (the Interpol) Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi has granted Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman, the organization's special badge in admiration of his leading and distinctive role to boost security cooperation among Arab and foreign nations.
The Council's Secretariat General said in a statement on Wednesday that Koman's honoring constitutes recognition of his efforts in backing joint action between the Interpol and Arab states in combating organized and cross-border crime and his extraordinary efforts for strengthening security and stability at the regional and international levels.
It also mirrors admiration of his unwavering adherence to supporting international cooperation for law enforcement and making the globe safer and more just to all. It is also aimed at deepening partnership and solidarity between the organization and the Arab states.
For his part, Koman lauded the Interpol chief's special efforts for solidifying the relationship between the agency and the Arab countries and its noticeable advancement since he had taken the office.
Moreover, koman praised the cooperation between the international police organization with the Arab Council's Secretariat General and the mutual keenness to activate the bilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU). (end)
