AMMAN, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi said on Monday that relations between Jordan and Kuwait are solid and based on mutual trust, respect and appreciation.
Al-Qadi made the remarks during a meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Marri, who congratulated him on his election as Speaker for the parliament's second session and wished him success in his duties.
The speaker emphasized the deep-rooted ties between the two countries under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and King Abdullah II of Jordan, highlighting the importance of continued coordination to serve mutual interests.
Al-Marri reaffirmed Kuwait's keenness to enhance cooperation with Jordan in various fields and praised the strong historical partnership between the two countries.
He also lauded Jordan's steadfast stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and its ongoing efforts to defend the Palestinian cause in international forums, noting the identical views shared by both countries on Arab issues.
