VIENNA, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait affirmed on Friday its steadfast commitment to the principles of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), and its continued support to the International Anti-Corruption Academy as well as efforts aiming to boost integrity and build institutional capabilities on national and international levels.
This was announced during Kuwait's speech delivered by Third Secretary of Kuwait Permanent Delegation in Vienna Munira Al-Tayyar during the 14th session of the assembly of states parties to the academy.
Al-Tayyar noted that Kuwait has adopted an inclusive national vision to boost integrity and wise governance through carrying out a national strategy to combat corruption, supervised by the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), in cooperation with national bodies and civil society organizations.
She underlined the importance of permanent financial and technical backing to the academy to help it perfectly achieve its educational and research missions in a manner that enhances its status as a global distinguished center in this domain.
Al-Tayyar stated that Kuwait is keen on bolstering international solidarity and multilateral partnerships to face corruption it all its forms, Concluding the speech, Al-Tayyar affirmed that Kuwait is ready to continue its close collaboration with the academy and countries party to achieve common goals in strengthening integrity, the rule of law and sustainable development.
