KUWAIT, Nov 4 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs said on Tuesday that Salat Al-Istisqa (prayer for rain) will be held in 125 mosques throughout Kuwait at 10:30 a.m. local time next Saturday.
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry Suleiman Al-Suwailem affirmed that the Ministry has completed all necessary preparations for this blessed ritual, calling on citizens and residents to attend the prayers.
Salat Al-Istisqa is performed during drought and lack of rain and considered as a Sunnah (tradition) practiced by Prophet Mohammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him). (end) dd.gta
