RAMALLAH, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced on Sunday the killing of a Palestinian prisoner in an Israeli occupation prison.
In a joint statement, the Commission and the Club said that 63-year-old prisoner Mohammad Ghawadra from Jenin was arrested by the occupation last year and had remained in detention since then.
They confirmed that the killing of Ghawadra comes amid ongoing systematic incitement led by the occupation authorities, represented by the "fascist" minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who seeks to pass a law to execute prisoners at a time when Palestinian prisoners are subjected to a severe genocide inside Israeli occupation prisons.
The two institutions pointed out that after the ceasefire agreement, the occupation prisons escalated their crimes and violations, as testimonies from released prisoners constituted compelling evidence of complex torture crimes inside the prisons, which was reflected on the bodies of the prisoners handed over.
With the killing of prisoner Ghawadra, the number of killed prisoners since the genocide has risen to 81 identified prisoners. (end) nq.sas
