MANAMA, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- International policymakers and innovators gathered in the Bahraini capital Manama on Sunday for a forum that delved into investment trends and flows across the Gulf Arab region and beyond.
The forum, "Gateway Gulf," hosted by the Gulf Arab kingdom's Economic Development Board, is the Gulf Arab region's primary platform for reshaping global investment and "forging strategic partnerships" across key sectors, state-run Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
This year's edition focuses on the theme of "Rethinking Global Investment for New Trade Dynamics," it said, which is a testament to broad awareness about the need to ratchet up international cooperation towards sustainable development plans, BNA added.
Addressing the gathering, Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that the forum was a platform to strengthen international relations and discover promising opportunities for investment, helping "reshape" the future of investment in the region, he underlined.
The forum's agenda includes pressing matter running the gamut from economic diversification efforts and evolving trade trends to the latest financial practices and digital drive initiatives. (end)
