KUWAIT, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Tanmeia Charity Society on Sunday launched its five-day humanitarian mission to Bangladesh, targeting Rohingya refugee camps and impoverished areas as part of its ongoing relief, development, and medical efforts.
Director General of the Society, Dr. Abdullah Al-Kamali, told KUNA that the mission includes a comprehensive medical camp to treat over 70 Rohingya children through major and minor surgeries, alongside the distribution of infant formula and essential food baskets to enhance food security.
Al-Kamali added that the initiative also involves drilling wells to provide clean drinking water, distributing 50 sewing machines to support poor families, and offering clothing to children, in addition to visiting several charity and development projects supervised by the Society.
He emphasized that the campaign reflects Kuwait's continued humanitarian commitment and aims to restore hope for those in need, praising the volunteer teams and supporting initiatives.
Public Relations and Media Director Musab Al-Otaibi told KUNA that the field team works under difficult conditions to stay close to the suffering families, reaffirming the Society's commitment to direct aid and delivering Kuwait's message of solidarity to the world.
Meanwhile, Humanitarian Work Director Dr. Mohammad Al-Rashidi said the projects carried out during the mission have a tangible impact on beneficiaries, stressing that Tanmeia Charity seeks sustainable aid that empowers and revives hope among the afflicted. (end) slm.aai
