ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- At least seven militants and six soldiers of Pakistan army were killed in a security operation in a tribal district of Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said military on Wednesday.
According to a press release by Pakistan military's media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven militants were killed, however, six soldiers as well.
Earlier in the week, at least 25 militants, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border were killed, while five soldiers lost their lives in two security operations in Kurram and North Waziristan tribal districts of KPK. The security operations come at a time when Pakistan is witnessing a rise in terror attacks, especially in KPK and Balochistan provinces bordering Afghanistan. (end) sbk.hb
