CAIRO, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- The 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) Conference kick-started in Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday, with a Kuwait State Audit Bureau (SAB) delegation partaking.
Speaking to KUNA, Osama Al-Fares, chairman of the Kuwaiti delegation and SAB Director-General for Prior Control and Technical Support, said the conference, held from October 27 to 31, highlights counterterrorism, anti-money laundering and use of artificial intelligence in general audit.
The event features two panel sessions on INCOSAI donors' cooperation and reports on emerging issues from political, financial and administrative committees and regional organizations, he elaborated.
The INCOSAI's new executive board members and auditors are to be elected during the Egypt-hosted gathering, he said, adding that Indonesia and Saudi Arabia will play host to the 26th and 27th INCOSAI conferences respectively.
The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) is an intergovernmental organization whose members are supreme audit institutions. It is primarily meant to share expertise and cooperation between global audit institutions and promote independence, audit agencies' efficiency and revamp control and audit performance. (end)
