CAIRO, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan underlined Saturday the significance of shoring up Gaza ceasefire to ensure regional security and stability.
During a phone conversation, both ministers weighed the outcomes of the recent peace summit held in Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, along with the Gaza ceasefire deal in line with U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
The Egyptian foreign minister underlined that it is essential to stick to all provisions of the deal in a bid to ensure a lasting ceasefire and sustainable humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the enclave.
Abdelatty, in this regard, spoke highly of existing coordination between Cairo and Ankara for following up on the implementation of the agreement, in collaboration with regional and international partners.
During the phone conversation, both Egyptian and Turkish foreign ministers looked into preparations for the International Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza Strip in Cairo in November. (end) ism.mt
