INSTANBUL, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- Seven people were killed Friday when a boat carrying irregular migrants sank off the coast of Bodrum district in Turkiye's southwestern Mugla province, according to Anadolu Agency.
Turkish coast guard teams, including boats, helicopters, and divers, were dispatched to the area after reports of the sinking. Two people were rescued, while the bodies of seven victims recovered from the sea.
Search and rescue operations continue, as Turkish authorities frequently report similar incidents involving irregular migrants attempting to reach Europe. (end) ta.hs
