WASHINGTON, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Brazil Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira held in Washington "positive talks" about trade and bilateral issues.
"Today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Brazil Mauro Vieira and had very positive talks regarding trade and ongoing bilateral issues," said a joint statement late Thursday.
They also agreed to collaborate and conduct discussions on multiple fronts in the immediate future and establish a working path forward, according to the statement.
In addition, both sides agreed to work together to schedule a meeting between President Trump and President Lula at the earliest possible occasion, it added. (end)
