MOSCOW, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Haitham Al-Ghais praised on Wednesday its distinguished relations with Russia, affirming it as a key partner in ensuring stability and sustainability for global oil markets.
Talking to KUNA on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week 2025 forum, Al-Ghais said that OPEC and Russia's partnership represents a successful model of international cooperation based on shared interests and vision for market stability, ensuring balance of supply and demand.
He added that the OPEC+ alliance has proven its effectiveness over the years in facing economic challenges, noting the continuous coordination among the participating countries in enhancing confidence in the oil industry.
Russian President Vladimir Putting pointed out yesterday to the participants of the Energy Week Forum that "Russia hosts representatives from political, economic, and academic circles from around the world to discuss pressing global issues facing the oil sector." The 8th International Forum is held in Moscow, Russia, from October 15 to 17, with participation including representatives from several countries, chiefs of major companies and organizations working the in the field of energy, as well as specialized scientists and experts.
