CAIRO, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- The peace summit in Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh kick-started on Monday, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, with leaders of 31 countries, regional and international organizations attending.
The gathering started with the leaders of the U.S., Egypt, Turkiye and Qatar signing up an inclusive document of the recently concluded agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.
The summit is mainly meant to bring an end to the war in Gaza, strengthen peace and stability efforts in the Middle East, and open a new chapter of regional security and stability.
Kuwait's delegation to the summit is headed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. (end)
