CAIRO, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Ten countries participating in Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh Summit stressed Monday the significance of allowing humanitarian aid flow into the Gaza Strip and clearing rubble caused by the Israeli occupation aggression over a couple of years.
This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Sharm El-Sheikh summit, which was attended by the president of Egypt, King of Jordan, prime ministers of France and Turkiye, Amir of Qatar, German Chancellor, prime minister of Italy, the UK and Canada and the Saudi foreign minister, the Egyptian presidency said in a press release.
The meeting was meant to coordinate among the participating countries regarding the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, reconstruction efforts and humanitarian aid, it added.
During the event, the Egyptian leader stressed that it is necessary to hold the Cairo Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference as scheduled next November, and to build on the great support created by Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, according to the release. (end)
