KUWAIT, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdulatif Al-Mishari met on Monday with the country's governors to discuss plans and mechanisms to achieve a shared vision that supports Kuwait's general policy for implementing developmental projects.
In a press statement, the Farwaniya Governorate said the meeting was held at the office of its Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah, with the participation of Minister Al-Mishari, Al-Asimah Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Acting Governor of Hawalli Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The meeting reviewed in detail the implementation of the "Baladia 139" application, outlining its various components aimed at enhancing services and improving administrative and fieldwork efficiency across all governorates.
Discussions also addressed frameworks for strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the governorates.
Minister Al-Mishari praised the vital role played by the governorates in supporting the Ministry's fieldwork efforts and emphasized that the coming phase will witness closer coordination, collaboration, and achievements.
The governors expressed their appreciation for the full support extended by the political leadership and the government to enhance their role in serving Kuwait, and commended Minister Al-Mishari for his continuous cooperation with the governorates in advancing key development projects across the six governorates.
The meeting was attended by Director General of Kuwait Municipality Manal Al-Asfour and several senior municipal officials. (end)
