MADRID, Oct 9 (KUNA) - The Spanish government on Thursday welcomed the agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation to implement the first phase of the Gaza peace plan.
In a statement, the Spanish Foreign Ministry stressed on the mediation efforts by the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey to realize the first phase of a truce based on the US plan proposed by President Donald Trump.
The statement described the agreement, reached after two years of conflict, as a step toward ending the violence, securing the release of prisoners, and enabling wide humanitarian aid entry into Gaza, urging both parties to act responsibly and respect the agreement's terms.
