ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the recent Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement with Saudi Arabia will further strengthen the strategic, economic, trade and defense ties between the two countries, said PM Office.
According to a press release by PM Office, while talking to a delegation of Saudi Shura Council led by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh here in Islamabad, PM Sharif conveyed his best wishes to the Saudi King, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and prayed for his good health and well-being. The Prime Minister said that the vision of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the development of Saudi Arabia is commendable, adding that under his leadership, Saudi Arabia has set an example of development in every field especially the economic and social sector and empowerment of women. On the occasion, the Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council termed the recent Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as very important and said that this agreement is a reflection of the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries. He stressed the importance of further strengthening parliamentary relations between the two countries. The meeting agreed to promote the exchange of parliamentary delegations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the release added. (end) sbk.aa
