CAIRO, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- The 16th humanitarian aid plane, part of the second Kuwaiti airbridge, landed on Sunday, at Al-Arish Airport in North Sinai, carrying 10 tons of food supplies to assist the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Talal Al-Hindi, representative of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society (KRCS), told KUNA that the plane is part of the Gaza relief campaign supervised by the society in cooperation and coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Social Affairs.
Al-Hindi explained that the aid shipment transported by the Kuwaiti Air Force plane consists of 540 food baskets provided by the Kuwaiti charity association "Khairat" for Relief and Development. He added that this is the 16th flight of the relief airbridge launched by Kuwait under high directives in favour of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
He affirmed that the continued arrival of Kuwaiti aid planes reflects the authentic position of Kuwait in providing support to those afflicted and embodies the values of solidarity and generosity that distinguish it in charitable work.
He expressed thanks to the Kuwaiti charitable associations participating in preparing the aid shipments for the people of Gaza, as well as to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for receiving the Kuwaiti aid shipments at Al-Arish Airport to ensure their swift delivery to those affected in Gaza.
