MADRID, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- Spanish cities witnessed on Thursday wide scale demonstrations condemning the genocide against the Palestinian people and calling to cut off relations with the occupation entity.
The Spanish students federation called for the protests in all cities under the logo, "let's stop the genocide against the Palestinian people." The union affirmed in a statement that the Palestinian cause is adopted by the youth and millions of people who struggle for human rights and social justice.
In Madrid, authorities said some 4,000 students took part in march brandishing placards condemning the massacres in Gaza, while 6,500 peers ventured out on the streets in Barcelona chanting for severing the ties with the occupation entity. Identical protests were held in several other towns and regions.
The protestors lifted billboards calling to boycott the Israeli occupation. "Israel is criminal," one of the banners read. (end) hnd.rk
