ISLAMABAD, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- At least 13 militants were killed in two separate operations in Pakistanآ’s southwestern Balochistan province, said the military on Wednesday.
According to Pakistan militaryآ’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Quetta district of Balochistan on reported presence of militants.
During the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged the militantsآ’ location, and after an intense exchange of fire, 10 militants were killed, confirmed ISPR in a statement.
It further said that in another intelligence-based operation conducted in Kech district of Balochistan, a militant hideout was busted and three milintants were successfully neutralized.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed militants, who remained actively involved in numerous militant activities, it added. (end) sbk.mt
