ALULA, Saudi Arabia Oct 1 (KUNA) - The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed that Saudi Arabia's hosting of the Munich Security Conference Leaders' Meeting indicates its pivotal role in enhancing international security and its commitment to supporting multilateral dialogues to address regional and international challenges.
These remarks came during Al-Budaiwi's participation in the inauguration of the Munich Security Conference Leaders' Meeting, on Wednesday, at the Maraya concert hall in AlUla Governorate, featuring a number of ministers, senior officials, and specialists from various countries around the world.
He extended his gratitude to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, for the hosting, organization, and outstanding preparation of this meeting.
"The event brought together many senior officials from various countries, which reflects the high importance the Kingdom places on promoting joint action and global dialogues, as well as opening broader channels for exchanging views with regional and international partners on priority issues, in order to advance and formulate more comprehensive and proactive approaches to security and stability, especially as this high-level participation underscores the regional and international stature of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," stated Al-Budaiwi.
