KUWAIT, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- The 2025 US State Department's Tier 2 designation for Kuwait in measures to eliminate human trafficking reflects a solemn effort within the legislative and executive domains across several sectors, said Acting Director General of Public Authority for Manpower Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi on Thursday.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Osaimi lauded the collective efforts of state entities, especially the Manpower Authority, which is keen on protecting the rights of laborers, streamlining procedures, and boosting the training of its employees.
This is a significant achievement reflecting Kuwait's eagerness to implement national legislation and international agreements related to labor in cooperation with partners both local and abroad in line with efforts to counter cross-border crimes, she affirmed.
The US State Department's 2025 Trafficking in Persons Report said that the "Government of Kuwait is making significant efforts to eliminate human trafficking."
