ADEN, Sept 28 (KUNA) -- Namaa Charity, an affiliate of the Social Reform Society in Kuwait, has distributed 332 integrated food baskets in the Tihama region of western Yemen, benefiting 2,324 displaced people and orphans as part of the "Kuwait Is by Your Side" campaign in its 11th consecutive year.
Director of Marketing at Namaa Charity, Ibrahim Al-Sanea, said in a press statement on Saturday that the campaign aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced and affected families, enhance food security for widows and orphans, and help bridge the food gap and shortage of resources.
Al-Sanea expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the people of Kuwait for their generous and continuous humanitarian support, calling for the continuation of backing Namaa Charity's activities and projects that persist in their humanitarian mission in various affected countries.
For his part, the Executive Director of the Yemeni Al-Rofaqaa Association for Humanitarian Development, which implemented the project, Majdi bin Harhara, stressed that Kuwaiti support brings hope to the families in need and reflects a genuine humanitarian commitment to those affected by the difficult living and economic conditions Yemen is going through.
Bin Harhara praised the active role of Namaa Charity in extending humanitarian aid to those in need in several Yemeni governorates, expressing thanks to the donors in Kuwait who have always been and continue to be a source of support to their brothers in Yemen, bringing smiles to the faces.
