DOHA, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Padel teams won well-deserved victories Tuesday in the 2025 Arabian Gulf Padel Championship, hosted by Qatar.
The tournament kicked off yesterday, and the Kuwaiti team won in all rounds.
Today, Kuwaiti women's team defeated its Qatari counterpart 3-0, while the junior team defeated its Bahraini counterpart by the same score. The men's team also defeated the Omani team 3-0.
The tournament is held in three main categories: men's, women's, and juniors, reflecting the growing interest in Padel in the region.
Competitions are held in a league format for each category; with each team playing three matches, two of which must be won to decide the outcome. The Championship is organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation at the Padel Inn courts in Aspire and will continue until September 19. (end) sss.mb
