DOHA, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- Arab and Muslim leaders gathered in Doha to express a unified and strong stance against the treacherous Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar, Majed Al-Ansari, Advisor to Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and official Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
In a press conference, after the summit, Al-Ansari confirmed that targeting the sovereignty of an Arab and Islamic state, a member of the United Nations, constitutes a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to regional and international security and peace.
The spokesperson stated that this emergency summit in Doha is not merely an emergency meeting, but rather a clear message to the entire world that Arab and Islamic states reject the aggression, and adhere to international law and legitimacy.
Al-Ansari also underlined that the Palestinian issue will remain a top priority until the Palestinian people achieve their full legitimate rights.
He emphasized that the statements issued by the Arab-Islamic and Gulf summits clearly condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, and also indicated that the Israeli occupation behavior and justifications for this behavior are completely invalid.
This is evidenced by the statements made by the leaders, who clearly affirmed that all the justifications put forward to justify this attack and aggression against Qatar are invalid under international law, morally invalid, and invalid according to all the principles upon which the international community is based, Al-Ansari added.
