KUWAIT, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya expressed Sunday Kuwait's welcome over a joint statement issued by the Quartet group regarding support for a peaceful solution in Sudan, which would preserves its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and help advances regional peace, security, and stability.
Minister Al-Yahya affirmed, in a statement to KUNA, Kuwait's full support and appreciation for the efforts made by UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United States to end the ongoing conflict in Sudan, praising the collective commitment to Sudan's unity and stability that these efforts represent.
Al-Yahya stressed on the importance of the Sudanese parties' commitment to a ceasefire, creating appropriate conditions to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, protecting civilians, and engaging in serious negotiations in accordance with the terms of reference of the Jeddah Declaration.
In addition, commitment to relevant international resolutions, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security, peace, and sustainable development. (end) nma.mb
